The open sushi bar
Every seat at the bar faces the work.
Sushikin is built around an open sushi counter — the cutting board, the rice, and the fish all in plain view. Order a plate and watch it made, or hand the night to the chef and let the counter decide.
Whole fish come across the bar regularly: bluefin, broken down in front of the room, sliced for nigiri while you watch. The menu changes monthly, so the counter never runs the same week twice.
Over a thousand Google reviews say Shreveport has noticed.

At the bar
Bluefin, broken down in front of the room.
From the counter
Sashimi moriawase, built to order at the bar.
Omakase
Thirteen courses. The chef chooses, the counter watches.
The counter omakase is a seated, thirteen-course run of what's best that night — nigiri, sashimi, and the kitchen's counterpunches, in the order the chef wants you to have them.
Prefer it boxed? Kinakase is the chef's-choice bento collection — a cedar-box spread of the same counter work, set for the table instead of the bar. Two different things; both worth the drive.
Seats are limited — call (318) 585-7874 to ask about tonight's counter.
Lunch runs every day except Tuesday — and we stay open through the afternoon. No break, no locked door at 2 pm.
Kitchen open straight through, lunch into dinner. Closed Tuesdays.
The sake bar
Cold bottles, cedar boxes, a list that outruns the room.
